Accommodation At Sorido Bay Resort
The five Sentani cottages (60m2) offers you all the comfort you need with splendid ocean views.
The two Kaimana cottage (90m2) provide additional space for even more comfort. Just like the Sentani cottages the Kaimana's have splendid ocean views with separate living room that can also be transformed into an additional bedroom. A very popular option for families or two couples spending their holidays together.
Each bungalow is decorated/furnished in a special Papuan style using museum quality artifacts. All luxury is available, Air-conditioning, hot showers, television, refrigerator etc. All bungalows are spacious and built on the seashore, a guarantee for a stunning view over the bay area.
Great attention is given to the smallest detail. The resort is VERY photographer friendly. Each building has a table especially for camera work with good light. The tables are supplied with 110V and 220V build-in electricity outlets. The camera tables have each a built-in sink and running water.
Every bungalow has a back entrance with a back yard with a place to hang wet suits and the like. Once inside there is a large bathroom area with all western comforts. This lay-out ensures the roomy bedrooms to stay sand free (especially your bed!!!). To reduce the sand problem and enable comfortable walking all resort buildings are connected by a 2 meter wide walkway which is lit by night.
Drink & Dine
Meals and drinks are served a large over-water dining area with long tables, sheltered by a traditional palm thatched roof, which always offers a nice, fresh breeze. In the kitchen, coffee, tea and flavored drinks are always available for guests. The kitchen is always busy with staff preparing meals. All meals are being cooked in woks, stew pots or else. There are no electrical appliances, everything is made my hand. In back of the kitchen, the staff slice fresh vegetables and fruits in the open air under the shade of the trees.
Each meal is prepared fresh. Vegetables, fruits and fish are bought from local villagers, coming to the resort beach with their boats. Ice boxes, supplied weekly from Sorong, contain fresh meats and can chill a beer when required.
